23 years ago William Porter rescued three year old Jacob Tsukroff from a fire. Jacob had a brother in the house who did not make it.
Porter says that call left a mark on him. So Porter s daughter tracked down Tsukroff, now 26, before her father retired two months ago. Over the weekend the two were reunited. Lots of tears. It was one of the biggest calls that stick to my mind, one that had never really had closure to it, Porter said. I always wondered how he was.
Tsukroff said he doesn t really remember that tragic day, but he kept a teddy bear that Porter gave him and always wanted to meet the man who saved his life.
The mother died of breast cancer aged 44 in 2005, unknowingly left them an inheritance gift in a copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. She paid less than $2 for the book which may bring in over $25,000 at auction!

The McFarland Family
A Kentucky man and his sons are creating joy on social media with their TikTok dance videos, giving people something to smile about during the coronavirus pandemic.
The McFarland family, from Louisville, has garnered more than 10 million views.
“We never started making videos to end up here,” Dylan McFarland, the youngest of Dan McFarland’s three sons, told the television station. “If you told us a year ago that we’d be where we are, we’d have said, ‘You’re nuts.’ But brands are reaching out to us and saying ‘We love what you guys are doing . we want to partner with you and have you guys come up with something great.’”

I was listening to a song on You Tube today which brought back some wonderful memories.
Back in the late 80s and early 90s, before we began broadcasting Delilah, we aired a successful evening program called Pillow Talk, which was five hours of love songs, dedications and even some soft jazz.
Sometimes we would play a song that even though it was either not a hit single or only an album cut, we played it because it fit the atmosphere of the show: to relax listeners or perhaps share an emotion with them.
One song we used to play was called Almaz, sung by Randy Crawford (who incidentally was from Macon). The first time I heard it I thought it was one of the most beautiful melodies I d ever heard. I found myself singing it to myself all the time.
