In Florida (of course), a 21-year-old man was arrested after Indian River County sheriff’s officials reported he drove as fast as 127 mph on Interstate 95. When asked why he was exceeding 120 mph, the man said, “I was listening to a song named ciento veinte, which means 120, so I was driving 120,” the affidavit states.
The case began about 7:25 p.m. as the deputy drove south on I-95 just north of the Fellsmere/Sebastian exit. The investigator saw a sedan approaching, “dangerously maneuvering in between traffic.”
Using radar the deputy said the car was travelling at 117 mph. He turned on his emergency lights and sirens.
