Down East was rained out and Round Rock has the day off, but Frisco balances that out somewhat by playing a doubleheader after last night’s rainout.
Cole Ragans made his second start of the year for the Hickory Crawdads, and it went much better than the first. Ragans went 4 innings, striking out 5 and walking 2 while allowing 3 hits. Per Mark Parker, the one run he allowed was due largely to a couple of defensive lapses by Ragans, first by allowing a runner to reach on an infield single by not covering first, then by getting just one out on a potential GIDP comebacker. For someone who has not been in game action for as long as Ragans has, though, some rust there is understandable.
