Schroders has hired former Aegon director Ed Dymott to spearhead a wealth drive in its Benchmark Capital business,
Money Marketing has learned.
Dymott joined Aegon in 2018, after spending 16 years at Fidelity, becoming the firm’s head of strategy before his departure.
He was chair of the UK Platform Group and the UK Transfers and Re-registration Working Group during his time at Fidelity, and joined Aegon amid its attempts to fully integrate the newly acquired Cofunds platform.
As managing director for transformation, innovation and growth, Dymott was also tasked with driving strategy across the firm and the positioning of the Aegon brand, including leveraging financial technology and assessing new propositional opportunities, before rumours of his imminent departure emerged last June.
