Anathea Ruys will become CEO of UM Australia in April, after four years spent as the managing director of Carat across the USA’s west coast and mid-west.
Last week, the Mediabrands agency announced Fiona Johnston would be leaving the market after four years as UM CEO to take up an international role at the holding company, based in London.
Ruys’ most recent role also involved her leading Dentsu’s west coast US office. The UM appointment is a return to Australia for Ruys, whose 25-year career has also involved stints as managing director of Mindshare Melbourne and head of Fuse, Asia Pacific – Omnicom Media Group’s strategy, content, and activation division – based in Singapore. There, she was part of Omnicom Media Group’s APAC executive committee, and expanded Fuse’s network to an extra four countries.

Duncan Aviation has entered into an agreement with Honeywell Aerospace in which the MRO provider manages the sales, exchange, and repair services for specified Honeywell avionics content, flight controls, electronic flight control instruments, air data, and attitude heading reference units on legacy platforms found on business jets, turboprops, rotorcraft, and regional and commercial aircraft. It builds on Duncan’s credentials as a Honeywell-authorized service center and channel partner, adding more than 2,000 part numbers on nearly 100 airplanes and rotorcraft.
“Our investment in the expansion of our component capabilities and product offerings is just the latest in a 50-plus-year relationship we have enjoyed with Honeywell, said Duncan v-p of component services and satellites Mark Cote.
Zwift has appointed YuChiang Cheng as chief product officer.
Cheng will lead product design and UX, engineering, game design and art, product management, R&D, content programming, liveops, QA and community support.
Prior to Zwift, Cheng built cross-functional teams to create products for name brands such as Topgolf, Virgin Games, World Poker Tour, Monopoly, Sky, USGA, PGA of America, and MGM-Mirage. Cheng co-founded the World Golf Tour, a virtual golf simulation game which grew to over 28 million players.
