Charlotte, NC. (5 May 2021) – 2021 Phoenix Challenge College & High School Competitions, even while still adapting in a COVID environment, were both successes this year. Both competitions are premier examples of dedication, problem solving and showcasing knowledge and experience. All the participating teams and students have shown their caliber of talent and poise as they aim for careers in the flexo and package printing industry.
Mark Andy has appointed Kenjiro Celaya as its new sales manager, joining the technical sales team to increase customer support in Mexico and surrounding areas.
Celaya comes to Mark Andy with over 15 years of experience in print production and project management. He has worked for over a decade for Mexican label converter Etipress, being responsible for supervising production schedule and processes and for providing technical support and training to the sales team.
‘I have been a Mark Andy customer, have experienced what is to be on the other side, and I’m aware of the challenges and opportunities that come with joining the team. I am excited about helping printing companies in Mexico achieve their maximum potential through Mark Andy products, service, and support, and I am fully dedicated to their success,’ added Celaya.

Even with all of its problems, 2020 was a transformative year for labels and packaging, and 2021 will bring the learned lessons to the forefront. Much of this has to do with a combination of new digital and hybrid equipment introductions and packaging procurement models.
The void of consolidated introductions left by the absence of drupa combined with the pandemic-driven shift in consumer behavior has created a more fragmented view of what is here, what is coming, and more importantly, what is needed. With a little research I believe we can see the trends and how they will be driven. So, with that, what can we expect?
