The Bombay High Court on Thursday granted emergency death parole to Essa Memon, who is serving a life sentence in the 1993, Mumbai Serial Blasts case. Essa is the brother of Tiger Memon, accused of being the brain behind the blasts. A division bench of justices SS Shinde and Manish Pitale granted seven days parole to Memon, without police escorts.
