Ask anyone, man or woman, and they ll tell you that beards are in. They ve been a popular trend for several years now. Whether it s a well kept length or down to your chest, a bearded man is a manly man! But a new trend started to crop up in late 2020 and has now become all the rage in 2021. We proudly present, the Monkey Tail beard!
So how do you achieve the Monkey Tail look? According to Radio.com, the Monkey Tail beard is done by shaving off one side of the face, so the beard swoops down from sideburns down into the mustache. The look appears to curl up like a.you guessed it.a monkey s tail. Here are a few examples.

A month of 2021 hasn’t even passed yet, but a weird trend is already on the rise – I guess all of that time spent inside over the ongoing pandemic is finally taking its effect, huh?
Anyways, it’s called the ‘monkey tail beard’, and it looks exactly like the name would suggest, if not worse. It’s literally shaped to look like a monkey’s tail curling around one’s face, starting off as a sideburn and curving under the chin and around the lip, then finishing off with a moustache.

Haircuts and beard trimming have taken a backseat for many men amid the coronavirus pandemic as they are avoiding visiting the salon and trying DIY tricks and tips. Now, a bizarre trend has taken the Internet by storm in which men have trimmed their beards in the shape of a monkey s tail.
The primate-inspired look requires to groom the beard and mustache into a long tail-like shape that at one sideburn, runs down the jawline, along the chin, and then curls up around the side of the mouth, and then ends above the top lip.
I have had some kind of facial hair since about 1994 - for the first many, many years it was a goatee, and for the last decade or so it s been a full beard. Once I went to college I figured I should grow it out to draw attention away from my big schnoz. It s to the point now where my beard has become part of my identity - that identity is getting more and more grey each year.
Even though I look like an old man, I still do my best to stay up to date with trends that have to do with men s clothing, fitness, grooming, etc. - that s not to say I actually take part in those trends, but I at least want to be aware of them. That s why I am so shocked, and almost ashamed of myself, that I am just now learning about the Monkey Tail Beard.
