A meeting of Cumbria County Council’s cabinet yesterday saw councillor Deborah Earl and Public Health Director Colin Cox present a report that detailed the plans for the Contain Outbreak Management Fund. Wording from the UK Government’s Department for Health and Social Care in the report referred to “hard to reach groups”. Councillor Patricia Bell said: “I’m really glad Colin’s on the call because I’d like to thank him and his team for their continuing hard work, I know they are absolutely focussed on managing the pandemic and now more towards recovery but I am disappointed on page 42, paragraph 10 to see the term ‘hard to reach groups’.
