Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a prominent high court advocate and his wife brutally murdered allegedly by a TRS leader. In dying declaration video Advocate Vaman Rao taken Kunta Srinu’s name, who is TRS leader.
V Satyanarayana, Commissioner of Police, Ramagundam speaking to media said, this afternoon around 02:00 pm on the highway leading towards Manthani from Peddapalli, prominent Advocate Gattu Vaman Rao and his wife Nagmani while coming in a car, few assistants overtook the car and brutally murdered them. The locals who witnessed the incident spoke to the victim, he (victim) said Kunta Srinu had done it.

A lawyer couple practicing at Telangana High Court in Hyderabad was hacked to death by some persons during daytime at Ramagiri near Ramagundam of Godavarikhani, nearly 220 km from here, on Wednesday.
Lawyers Gattu Vaman Rao and P.V. Nagamani were travelling in a car when the attackers came in an another vehicle and intercepted them around 3 p.m. The couple was reportedly returning to Hyderabad after attending a court case in Manthani.
The attackers inflicted multiple injuries with knives the couple before fleeing the spot. They were rushed to a nearby hospital where they were pronounced dead while undergoing treatment.

Peddapalli (Telangana) [India], February 17 (ANI): A prominent High Court advocate and his wife were brutally murdered allegedly by a TRS leader on Wednesday.
According to Peddapalli police, Prominent High Court Advocate Vaman Rao and his wife were brutally murdered by unknown persons on Kalvacharla highway in Peddapalli district on Wednesday afternoon. They were stabbed to death by the assailants. The bodies being shifted to government hospital for autopsy and a case being registered U/s 302 IPC by the police officials.
In dying declaration Advocate Vaman Rao has taken Kunta Srinu s name, who is Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) leader. Police said, an investigation is underway and a search is on for the accused involved.
TPCC chief demands CBI inquiry
The Congress has demanded a CBI inquiry into the day-light murder of High Court lawyers and blamed the government for their death.
In a statement here, TPCC chief N. Uttam Kumar Reddy said the lawyer-couple had sought police protection after they received threat calls. The deceased Vaman Rao had named Kunta Srinu, who is TRS mandal president of Manthani.
Moreover, the lawyer was also fighting on behalf of the family of Seelam Rangaiah, who died in police custody that rocked the State. The lawyer also apparently filed cases against Peddapalli ZP chairperson and former Manthani MLA of TRS, Putta Madhu.
