Darien PD investigate several car burglaries, thefts

DARIEN - Police are investigating after four vehicles were burglarized and two stolen between May 10 and May 12.
The four burglaries were reported between 6 and 9 a.m. on May 11. Police said the burglaries were of vehicles that were left unlocked.
The first was reported at 6:44 a.m. on Old Oak Road, according to police, with the victim stating that someone entered an unlocked Jeep Compass at some point overnight. A wallet had been taken which contained bank cards and identification, police said, and one of the cards had already been used at a gas station in Stamford earlier that morning.
The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, 866-366-3723, uses a risk-based inspection reporting process for restaurants and other food handlers.

Food facility has an employee who held a certified food manager certificate; however, the certificate has expired and is no longer valid. Water at the hand-wash sink does not have adequate pressure during inspection. Food employee did not follow proper hand-washing procedure. Single-use towel not available.
