Naked man who shoved a New Yorker off a subway platform dies

A naked man died Saturday on subway tracks in Harlem, New York police said   The man had shoved another man off the 110th Street subway platform A third man then jumped down on the tracks to help the victim, police said  That s when the attacker jumped onto the tracks and started hitting the good Samaritan who was trying to rescue the other victim  At that point the naked man touched the third rail and electrocuted himself Good Samaritan and the victim were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries

The Daily Mail reports there were nine murders between January 1 and January 10. There were four murders during the same time-frame of 2020. NYC’s first murder of 2021 was the January 1 shooting of a 20-year-old man who was killed “minutes after midnight outside the notorious Umbrella Hotel in Kew Gardens in Queens.” Breitbart News reported the murder on January 1, noting it appeared to be the first homicide anywhere in the nation in 2021. The Daily Mail also pointed out shooting incidents in general also surged in NYC between January 1 and January 10, up 25 percent from 25 incidents in 2019 to 31 in 2021.

(Google Maps) KEW GARDENS, QUEENS A night-shift supervisor for the Umbrella Hotel has been arrested on criminal nuisance charges, after a triple shooting outside the hotel on New Year s Day left one dead and prompted Mayor Bill de Blasio to call for its closure. Gulshan Gandhi, 68, was arrested on two misdemeanor charges after prosecutors accused of him of maintaining conditions that endangered the safety and health of hotel guests and the community at large, the Queens District Attorney s Office said in a news release. Gandhi was in charge at the time of the triple shooting that killed 20-year-old Rosedale resident Robert Williams and during two other shootings last summer at the hotel, according to prosecutors.
