The United Arab Emirates is at the forefront of the countries advocating women s rights at the global level through a series of initiatives and programmes aimed at supporting and empowering women in many societies and countries.
The UAE tops advanced ranks on many global indicators related to supporting women s rights and empowerment, as well as its unprecedented achievement globally in achieving equality in parliamentary representation during the 16th legislative chapter of the Federal National Council.

H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, is an icon of giving and support for childhood, both regionally and globally, and has accomplished numerous achievements in this area, most notably her prominent role in supporting Syrian refugee children, providing them with generous donations amounting to millions of dollars.
ABU DHABI, 11th January, 2021 (WAM) The first remote two-day forum between the UAE and Saudi Arabia, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), under the title, "Safe Family, Safe Community," concluded today.
The event was organised by the GWU and the Saudi Family Affairs Council (FAC).
