Fox News Analyst Lawrence Jones & Fox News Radio Host Guy Benson discuss the backlash Republican Senator Tim Scott is receiving after his Republican Response to Biden’s address last week.
Listen Below:
Dear Senator Tim Scott:
In your Republican Response to President Biden’s address, you said: “America is not a racist country” and “it’s wrong to try to use our painful past to try to dishonestly shut down debates in the present.”
As a Black person, why admit the past has been painful if you don’t believe there’s racism in America?
For your information, Merriam Webster provides three definitions of racism. First: “a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race.” Second: “the systemic oppression of a racial group to the social, economic, and political advantage of another,” and third: “a political or social system founded on racism and designed to execute its principles.”
