They were then transferred to the Lower Keys Medical Center in Florida with no reported injuries, according to a statement from Coast Guard, but they are now in ICE custody in Pompano Beach
Authorities did not say why trio fled Cuba or if they were trying to arrive in US to seek asylum or be with family
The agency said Coast Guard officers spotted the trio waving flags during a routine air patrol on Monday

Two men and one woman were recently rescued from an uninhabited Bahaman island after they survived for 33 days by just eating coconuts.
According to reports, the trio was rescued by the US Coast Guard on 9 February after having spent more than a month in Anguilla Cay.
The two men and the woman, who all hail Cuba, were spotted waving a flag towards one of the Coast Guard s aircraft while it was on a routine patrol, according to the Coast Guard s Southeast Twitter account.
