DaVita And Former CEO Kent Thiry Indicted On Collusion Charges By Denver Grand Jury

Updated 9:28 p.m. A massive Denver-based dialysis provider and its former CEO were indicted Thursday on charges that they colluded with a competitor and agreed not to recruit each other’s top executives. The indictment names both Davita Inc. and former CEO Kent Thiry, along with competitor Surgical Care Affiliates and a related entity. Davita and Thiry are charged with “participation in two separate conspiracies to suppress competition for the services of certain employees,” according to a release from the U.S. Department of Justice.
