Bhayander: Hit by Cyclone Tauktae, homeless residents of crashed building seek MBMC aid Fortunate of having a narrow escape after a portion of their building crashed due to stormy winds accompanied with heavy rains caused by Cyclone Tauktae, 39 homeless families of the ill-fated Shivam Building in Bhayandar have been running from pillar-to-post seeking help and support from the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) and state government authorities. COVID-19: Amid shortage, MBMC to set up its own oxygen plant in Bhayandar COVID-19: Amid shortage, MBMC to set up its own oxygen plant in Bhayandar In an attempt to meet the unprecedented demand of medical oxygen amid an exponential surge in Covid-19 cases in the twin-city, the health department of the Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation (MBMC) has finally rolled up its sleeves to install its own oxygen manufacturing plant in Bhayandar. The civic administration will replicate the Pressure Swing Absorption Technology (PSA) technology which has been successfully adopted by the district authorities of Gadhinglaj town in Kolhapur district and other parts of the state and country to generate oxygen directly from atmospheric air.
