A Hydro man with a former felony conviction was arrested recently after being found with a firearm during a traffic stop in Weatherford.
The suspect was also found to be in possession of controlled dangerous substances along with illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia.
According to court documents, 31-year-old Kasey Dale John was arrested on July 17 in the 700 block of Kee Street when the Weatherford Police Officer discovered a .22 rifle located behind the drivers seat of the vehicle along with hydrocodone, alprazolam, and marijuana. The officer would also find a glass pipe in the vehicle as well.

The 10th Bayanihan Food Distribution will start at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Binhi at Ani Filipino Community Center in Kahului.
The drive-thru event is open to the public and will continue until supplies of hot food and groceries run out, according to a news release.
Vehicles must enter Onehee Avenue by turning right from South Papa Avenue. Kea Street between Papa Avenue and Holua Drive will be closed from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Participants should not block driveways and must line up as directed by the Maui Police Department and the Hawaii National Guard.
To date, the Bayanihan Food Distribution has raised more than $43,000 and distributed 6,755 food boxes, including 64,830 canned goods, 62,694 pounds of produce, 23,286 snacks, 19,769 beverages, 14,917 packages of noodles, 6,824 plate lunches, 5,600 McDonalds certificates, 4,350 Maui Gold pineapples, 3,841 bags of rice, 2,941 dozens of eggs, more than 2,500 dragon fruit, 2,106 containers of spaghetti sauce, 1,868 loa
