Snapshot
According to the current monthâs schedule, 20 flights to and from six cities â Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad â operate out of Darbhanga.
And the passenger count â arrivals and departures â varies between 1,700 and over 2,800.

Itâs laying bets on how many passengers will travel through the seven-and-half month old airport in the city.
Ever since the first civilian passenger aircraft landed at the Darbhanga airport on November 8 last year, the passenger count, and the number of flights, has been steadily rising.

Kaushal Kishore Mishra, a resident of the area, said, “The mass burning of bodies is causing so much pollution that we are forced to shut our doors and windows. The strong smell arising out of rituals saturates the entire atmosphere.”
