The world s most dangerous murder bird has flown into New York and you can see him up close and personal. The Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville, New York is home to Kevin, a Cassowary bird, that is native to Australia. The young bird is yellow & brown but park owner Jordan Patch says one he ages, he will develop black plumage and a blue head, red neck, and a large casque on the head. Cassowary birds have three-toed feet with sharp claws, one quite dagger-like, reaching over five inches long. Park owner, Jordan, cautiously calls them murder birds, noting the species requires and deserves immense respect and caution when working with them. It s these claws and powerful legs that give the Cassowary their well deserved and intimidating title.

Now the park has opened for the season, introducing a new friend to Upstate New York, a young giraffe named Desmond. Fox40 reports that Animal Adventure Park in the Southern Tier has memorialized April the Giraffe alongside her calf Azizi in a new bronze sculpture near the giraffe feeding deck. April the Giraffe was euthanized due to worsening arthritis in April 2021 and Azizi died in 2020 at the East Texas Zoo and Gator Park after being treated for a parasitic issue. He was 19 months old.

April & Azizi Memorial Built At Animal Adventure Park

Animal Adventure Park in Harpursville recently had a very nice memorial built in memory of two of their beloved giraffes - April & Azizi as reported on the Animal Adventure Park Facebook page. April was euthanized at the beginning of this month (April 2nd) due to arthritis issues. She was just shy of her 21st birthday (April 18.) April was cremated, and her ashes were returned to the Animal Adventure Park. Azizi was transferred to The East Texas Zoo and Gator Park, Grand Saline, Texas in early 2020, and passed away October 27, 2020. The cause of death according to Wikipedia, was a twisted gut around his cranial mesenteric artery.
