Man arrested after erratic driving and crash on the way to a hospital

IDAHO FALLS Police arrested a man who allegedly fled from a traffic stop and got into a crash before stopping outside the entrance of a local hospital on Tuesday.
The Idaho Falls Police Department received a call of a car driving erratically and stopping in the middle of the road at green lights. According to an affidavit of probable cause, officers tried to pull the vehicle, which was driven by Blair Alan Morgan, 29, of Rexburg, near 17th Street and Woodruff Avenue.
Adult and Child Killed in Crash with Cattle Truck in Blackfoot
BLACKFOOT, Idaho (KLIX)-A 21-year-old Blackfoot man and a juvenile were killed Tuesday afternoon when their minivan was struck by a cattle truck in Blackfoot, several others were hospitalized.
According to Idaho State Police, the crash happened at around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Merkley Lane and Rich Lane. Joseph Crippen had been taken to an area hospital along with a juvenile who both died from their injuries.
Crippen had been driving a Dodge Caravan on Merkley Lane when he failed to yield at the intersection and was hit by the empty cattle truck driven by Jared King, 39, of Wales, Utah. The minivan struck a power pole and ended up in an irrigation canal; there were four passengers in the minivan including two juveniles. Everyone in the van had to extricated by emergency responders. The truck jackknifed and blocked Rich Lane.
It happened around 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Merkley Lane and Rich Lane in Blackfoot.
Joseph Crippen, 21, of Blackfoot, was driving southbound on Merkley Lane in a 2015 Dodge Caravan with four passengers, according to Idaho State Police. Jared King, 39, of Wales, Sanpete County, Utah, was driving the semi westbound on Rich Lane.
Investigators say Crippen did not yield at the intersection and was struck by King. Crippen s vehicle then hit a power pole and came to rest in an irrigation canal on the south side of Rich Lane. King s semitruck and trailer jackknifed, blocking Rich Lane.
All five occupants of Crippen s vehicle were extricated. He was flown to the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries, police say.

Woman dead, man hospitalized after crash near Monteview

MONTEVIEW A woman is dead following a three-vehicle crash Thursday morning near Monteview.
The Idaho State Police say the crash happened shortly after 8 a.m. at the intersection of 2600 North and 800 East. According to a news release, a car and two semi-trucks were involved in a crash that killed 21-year-old Leora Johnson of Monteview.
Police reports show Johnson was stopped at a stop sign on 2600 North Eastbound in her 2000 Chevrolet Impala, according to ISP. Justin Pierce, 31, of Filer, was southbound on 800 N in a 1998 Peterbilt semi pulling three trailers. Michael Kuyper, 38, of Buhl, was stopped northbound on 800 N in a 2007 Kenworth pulling two trailers, waiting to turn left onto 2600 N.
