Marijuana Grow Operation Busted in Missouri State Silo
Springfield Police responded to a call about a possible break in at silos owned by Missouri State University and discovered a marijuana growing operation.
Officers were dispatched to the silos in the 300 block of East Phelps in Springfield. A search of the property found Anthony Conrad hiding inside a room. Officers could smell something burning, and told Conrad to exit the room.
Officers then found the marijuana grow operation on fire, indicating that Conrad had tried to burn the evidence upon hearing police in the area. The fire burned itself out.
Conrad was booked into the Greene County Jail on possession of a controlled substance.

Police in Springfield responded to calls of people inside vacant silos over the weekend and found something more.
Authorities showed up at those silos on the 300 block of East Phelps around 4 a.m. Saturday and found one man inside a room when they smelled something burning.
Officers discovered a marijuana growth operation which had appeared to be set on fire by the man they found in the room.
The fire burnt itself out and the man was booked into jail for possessing a controlled substance.
