The 2021 Amarillo Branch NAACP Scholarship Awards application process is now open and will conclude at the end of this month. Per award guidelines, the scholarships range in amounts of $500 up to $1,000 in the form of a one-time, non-renewable payment and are open to all interested Amarillo area students.
Officials have indicated the scholarships are based on merit, academic potential, financial need and community service, and all applicants must meet the minimum
enrollment and qualifications required by the college or university the student seeks to attend. The scholarship application process began on March 1, and all scholarship applications must be received or postmarked by March 31.
