A local prosecutor is looking at solutions to gang violence that go beyond policing.
The recently discovered remains of a homicide victim in Flint are believed to be tied to gang violence, something David Leyton, the Genesee County prosecutor blames on a lack of real opportunity for young people. FLINT, MI - A man died after crashing a vehicle Friday morning in Flint, police said.
A silver 2002 Toyota Tundra crashed at 10:20 a.m. Friday, April 23, near Welch Boulevard and Seneca Street after being reported stolen roughly 10 minutes earlier in Mt. Morris Township, according to a news release from the Flint Police Department.
The vehicle was headed south on Clio Road at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control of the vehicle and it went off the right shoulder of the road as the car turned east onto Welch Boulevard, police said.
