Rwanda: Update COVID-19 (4 May 2021)

04 May 2021 Forty (40) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 3119 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to twenty-five thousand, three hundred, and fifty-one (25351). To date, twenty-three thousand, five hundred, and twenty-three (23523) patients have recovered, including one ten (10) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, four hundred, and ninety-one (1491) and three hundred and thirty-seven (337) deaths.
The new cases are in Kirehe: 9, Kigali: 6, Karongi: 6, Huye: 4, Rwamagana: 4, Nyamagabe: 3, Rulindo: 2, Nyaruguru: 2, Ngororero: 1, Gisagara: 1, Rubavu: 1, Ngoma: 1.
The COVID-19 prevention measures announced by the Government of Rwanda must continue to be rigorously observed, especially frequent hand-washing and physical distancing. In addition, face masks must be worn in public and multi-family compounds.

08 April 2021 One hundred and eleven (111) new COVID-19 cases were identified out of 6052 samples tested today. This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases twenty-three thousand, one hundred, and fifty-two (23152). To date, twenty thousand, eight hundred, and thirty-five (20870) patients have recovered, including one hundred and thirty (35) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, nine hundred, and sixty-eight (1968) and three hundred and fourteen (314) deaths.
The new cases are in Nyaruguru (19), Nyamagabe (17), Ruhango (14), Nyanza (12), Gisagara (11), Kigali City (9), Burera (7), Ngororero (6), Rubavu (2), Huye (2), Rutsiro (2), Ngoma (2), Bugesera (2), Gakenke (2), Rwamagana (1), Muhanga (1), Karongi (1), and Gicumbi (1); heightened vigilance is required everywhere.

This brings the cumulative number of confirmed cases to twenty-five thousand, two hundred, and eleven (25311). To date, twenty-three thousand, five hundred, and thirteen (23513) patients have recovered, including one seventy-one (71) in the past 24 hours. The number of active cases is one thousand, four hundred, and sixty-one (1461) and three hundred and thirty-seven (337) deaths.
