Lewis and Clark Community College in Godfrey is boasting that their student paper “the Bridge” earned twenty-two awards at the 2021 Illinois Community College Journalism Association Awards ceremony. The paper is written by students and uses student photographers.

The Illinois National Guard is being called to serve in Madison County later this month. About 20 members will be deployed to assist in the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine at two sites, supporting other staff already on the job. The hope is with additional help, the county will ramp up distribution for those eligible in Phase 1B including those over age 65, teachers, and other frontline eligible workers.
