DPD Intelligence and Training Center renamed for Sheriff Benny Napoleon

Benny Napoleon was real police, he knew what was going on in the streets, Duggan said. Napoleon is popularly remembered for his work with the department s gang squad, a sector of DPD that has grown over the years thanks to Napoleon s influence, Duggan said. The building, located on Oakman Boulevard near Focus Hope, was purchased for $1 million from Focus:Hope and it houses DPD’s Organized Crime and Gang Intelligence Units. He enjoyed every minute of those 26 years that he dedicated to the Detroit Police Department, he enjoy giving back he enjoyed being a public servant, Napoleon s daughter, Tiffani Jackson, said at the conference Wednesday.  He enjoyed doing everything that he could to keep the citizens of the city of Detroit safe. Album review: William Doyle – Great Spans of Muddy Time

“The end result is not what was in mind.” In 2015, those words served as the refrain to a menacing yet inexplicably catchy piece of electronic pop by an artist called East India Youth. Of course, William Doyle couldn’t have expected this when he wrote them, but six years, one abandoned alias and a failed hard drive later, they’ve taken on an entirely new significance: they now fit equally well as the modus operandi of his newest album, Great Spans of Muddy Time. Hampshire houses made of chalk; a Barry Shurlock feature

YOU may pass them on a Covid walk without realising what they are. They look like perfectly normal houses – even fine ones – but they were built with unconventional materials. These are the numerous houses made of chalk. There are many examples in Hampshire, especially in and around the Test Valley and between Andover and the Salisbury Plain. They include Rookwood School in Andover, which was built as a fine gentleman’s residence and Thimble Hall, Quarley, originally a pair of cottages. A fine example once stood where the Royal Hampshire County Hospital was extended in the 1980s. Many existing houses in the Orams Arbour and St Cross areas of Winchester are also made of chalk, excavated from local railway cuttings. And yet from the outside you would never know it.

Controversy for Jeremy Clarkson s farm shop Diddly Squat Farm

writes Tom Bevan. The TV host, 60, was granted planning permission for his Diddly Squat Farm on the condition that he could only sell goods by local people . However his representatives have sought the lifting of restrictions by increasing the designated area he could source items from ten-fold. This included meat, vegetables, fruit, flowers, bread and cakes, eggs and dairy products as well as farm and woodland based products. Chadlington Parish Council launched a scathing attack on Clarkson stating his proposals would undermine the viability of businesses within the Oxfordshire village including the local shop, butchers and a cafe. West Oxfordshire District Council have now granted a variation on the condition but only increased the radius to one of 16 miles - around half the 30 miles that Clarkson s team had applied for.
