Killeen police are investigating a shooting that happened Thursday afternoon near the Walmart on Lowes Boulevard.
The shooting was reported about 3:30 p.m., and police at the scene would not immediately confirm if anyone was shot.
As police were searching the area for a possible gunman and speaking to possible eyewitnesses, a portion of Lowes Boulevard was closed to traffic.
