Three stolen vehicles, two burglaries, one assault ends with arrest of single suspect Jesus Guzman Vega
A Modesto man is facing a litany of criminal charges for an alleged crime spree that traversed through Turlock, Ceres and Modesto on Tuesday.
In the span of seven hours, Jesus Guzman Vega, 32, of Modesto is suspected of stealing three vehicles, breaking into two homes, and committing one assault.
The hunt for Vega began around 11 a.m. Tuesday when the Turlock Police Department was notified of a residential burglary in the 500 block of Vermont Street. During the burglary, a 2014 Chevy Silverado was taken. The Turlock Police Department gathered evidence at the scene that indicated Vega was responsible for the burglary and auto theft, according to the Stanislaus County auto theft task force.

Jan. 14 A Modesto man is behind bars facing charges that include assault with a deadly weapon after a crime spree that spanned several hours Tuesday and went from the Turlock area to south Modesto to Ceres, according to the Stanislaus County Auto Theft Task Force.
The first incident was a residential burglary on the 500 block of Vermont Street in Turlock, according to a Facebook post by StanCATT. A 2014 Chevrolet Silverado was taken from the residence, and Turlock police officers identified Jesus Guzman Vega, 32, as a suspect.
