Suspect arrested in Lodi double homicide

The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday that 53-year-old Christopher Lee Holland, of Lodi, faced two counts of murder in San Joaquin County Superior Court earlier that day in the homicide of James and Mary Reiswig. According to the San Joaquin County Jail database, Holland was arrested Dec. 18, a day after the Reiswigs were found inside their rural Kingdon Road home west of Lodi and south of Flag City. Holland was booked on suspicion of two counts of robbery, two counts of murder, discharging a firearm, and using a firearm to cause great bodily injury. A relative found the couple dead in their home at about 8 a.m. Dec. 17.

Man charged in connection with the deaths of Lodi grandparents

A man appeared in a San Joaquin County courtroom on Wednesday to face two counts of homicide in connection with the deaths of a Lodi couple. Christopher Lee Holland, 53, of Lodi was already in custody on a parole violation at the time he was charged in the deaths of 77-year-old James Reiswig and 76-year-old Mary Reiswig. According to the San Joaquin County Jail website, he was booked on Dec. 18, a day after the couple was found dead. Holland is charged with two counts of felony murder, two counts of first-degree robbery and firearms charges. He is being held without bail, and is due in court again at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 28.
