JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. â The Jefferson County Sheriff s Office arrested a woman for attempted murder, arson and child abuse following a house fire in unincorporated Jeffco Friday.
South Metro Fire Rescue responded to 7100 block of S. Depew Street around 6:40 p.m. Friday for a basement fire.
The fire is under control. Firefighters found one cat inside and gave it oxygen. The cat is reunited with its owner. Crews also found a dog inside. Personnel on scene are working on calming the dog down and also reuniting with its owner.
