A new freestanding surgery center is slated to come to Corpus Christi’s Southside in early 2022. It will specialize in dialysis access management as well as the treatment of end-stage kidney disease and Peripheral Artery Disease, a circulatory condition where narrowed blood vessels reduce blood flow to the limbs. The more than 12,000-square-feet center will be located at 5617 Timbergate Dr., just off Staples Street, and have three operating rooms and one procedure room. The facility will be an Ambulatory Surgery Center and provide same-day surgical care, including diagnostic and preventive procedures. Patients must be undergoing outpatient care to be seen at the new center since it will not offer emergency services.
