US newspaper circulations: How Covid-19 hit sales of America s largest daily print titles
USA Today lost more than half of its print sales as US newspaper circulations were hit by the Covid-19 crisis last year, Press Gazette research has found.
The title, owned by publishing giant Gannett, saw its print circulation fall by 60% in the months after Covid-19 restrictions were imposed across the country.

America’s other largest newspapers – the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times – also experienced significant declines over the summer. USA Today and the Journal were particularly badly hit by falling sales to hotels as travel dried up during the pandemic.

The annual live tribute by the family members of 9/11 victims will resume in September for the 20th anniversary of the terror attack after it was modified due to social distancing protocols in 2020, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum announced Thursday.
“In a few months’ time, 20 years will have passed since our nation was attacked on September 11,” 9/11 Memorial & Museum Board Chairman and former New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg said in a statement. “We suffered a great tragedy that day and for the weeks and months that followed. We mourned the victims of the attacks and promised to never forget.”

Fulani extremists in Nigeria shot and killed a church elder, abducted three other Christians and hospitalized another in a recent attack in northwest Nigeria.
Mati Sani, a 65-year-old lay-leader with the Evangelical Church Winning All, was murdered at around 1 a.m. on Feb. 16 during a terrorist attack carried out in the village of Kadabuki Dan-Marabu, Kankara County, Katsina state, according to Morning Star News.
Sani had served in the church for over 35 years.
