The annual live tribute by the family members of 9/11 victims will resume in September for the 20th anniversary of the terror attack after it was modified due to social distancing protocols in 2020, the 9/11 Memorial & Museum announced Thursday.
“In a few months’ time, 20 years will have passed since our nation was attacked on September 11,” 9/11 Memorial & Museum Board Chairman and former New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg said in a statement. “We suffered a great tragedy that day and for the weeks and months that followed. We mourned the victims of the attacks and promised to never forget.”
