Medford harriers among the GBL’s best
Wicked Local
The Greater Boston League’s cross-country meet took place last Thursday, May 13, at MacDonald Park against the backdrop of a perfect spring day, which featured many excellent races. It was also Medford’s Senior Day, and the Mustangs’ six graduating harriers of Rayanne Forbes, Bella Grieco, Emily Stanley, Sam Cluggish, Andrew Olivieri and Stefan Langshur were so honored for their contributions to the program the last four years.
The Medford girls sent their senior teammates off with a league championship to complete an undefeated 6-0 season rather appropriately. “They have worked hard during this time of uncertainly, and were rewarded with this win, as well as an undefeated in dual meet season,” said coach Lou Ruggiero.

A Coast boxer is not letting his dream outweigh reality as he locks down a solid back-up option in case things don’t work out in the ring.
It took Sam “The Surgeon” Cameron-Hands less than 30 seconds to win his debut professional fight and he is keen to lock in his next bout.
But that won’t be at the expense of his studies and work in real estate industry.
The 22-year-old knocked out opponent Chris Hunt with a damaging left hook 29 seconds into the first round of their Brisbane fight on March 13.
It was his first professional fight in the lightweight division and he said it was an amazing feeling to come away with the win.
