Salem Red Sox, Your Local Weather Authority partner for gameday forecasts WSLS 10 meteorologists will appear on the Jumbotron at Red Sox home games this season Tags:  Salem Red Sox logo (Copyright by WSLS - All rights reserved) SALEM, Va. – After missing the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Salem Red Sox kick off their 2021 home schedule Tuesday night against the Lynchburg Hillcats. If you plan to attend the game, you’ll see a familiar face on the Jumbotron! WSLS 10 and the Red Sox are once again partnering to provide gameday forecasts for each home game at Haley Toyota Field at Salem Memorial Ballpark.

Agencies reporting downed tree, storm damage across Southwest, Central Virginia Parts of our viewing area are under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 8 p.m. Tuesday night Published:  Tags:  Tuesday’s strong storms have left many residents across Southwest and Central Virginia with damage. Local law enforcement agencies are warning folks to be cautious with travel as downed trees and various damage clutter the roads. Right here in the Star City, crews with Roanoke Fire-EMS have been tirelessly working to respond to multiple trees and power lines across the city. Meanwhile, Lynchburg Police have also been responding to a number of hazards due to the strong storm. They’re seeing downed trees and powerlines throughout the city as well as of 4:00 p.m.
