Share this story Awful news for U of L legend Angel McCoughtry, who will miss the 2021 WNBA season after tearing the ACL and meniscus in her right knee during a preseason game on Saturday. Just a day after telling everyone in America dozens of times that there was no way Medina Spirit had been treated with anything containing betamethasone, Bob Baffert was forced to tell everyone in America that Medina Spirit was treated with an ointment containing betamethasone. The horse will be allowed to run in this Saturday’s Preakness Stakes (with conditions), but his Derby win is now in serious jeopardy.

Luke Murray remembers his first stint at UConn, as a student with vast high school basketball recruiting knowledge, poking about the basketball offices with his buddy, Mark Daigneault, and kicking names around with assistant coaches Tom Moore and Andre LaFleur.
Daigneault went on to become the team manager; he’s now the head coach of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Murray transferred to Fairfield after a semester, but that love of scouting players has served him well over the years, and ultimately has him back at UConn, this time in an official capacity as one of Dan Hurley’s assistant coaches.

One Big Thought: El Ellis Is Getting the Keys
We know the ins and outs of Louisville’s stagnant offense this past season:
1. With only two effective guards playing the vast majority of minutes, the Cardinals didn’t feel confident running their transition offense as much off defensive rebounds and turnovers out of fear of fatiguing David Johnson and Carlik Jones. Louisville ranked 300th in the nation in adjusted tempo, according to KenPom. This pained Chris Mack, whose best Xavier teams ranked 32nd and 62nd in the nation in adjusted tempo.
