Louisville F Quinn Slazinski is transferring

After two seasons at Louisville, forward Quinn Slazinski announced Wednesday morning that he is entering the NCAA transfer portal.
“The city of Louisville has shown this kid from Houston so much love ever since I committed,” said Slazinski. ”I have appreciated everything and will take a piece of the Ville with me as I continue my college basketball career. I have decided it’s best for my career to enter the transfer portal.”
Slazinski started eight games for U of L this past season, and finished his sophomore campaign with averages of 6.2 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. He was expected to redshirt his first year as a Cardinal, but wound up appearing in 15 games where he scored a total of 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Cards will face No. 2 seed Michigan on Friday at either 1 p.m. or 4 p.m. The game will be televised by ESPNU. The Louisville baseball team’s return to the diamond after an unexpected week and a half off did not go swimmingly. The Cards dropped all three of their weekend games at Clemson, marking the first time they’ve been swept in a weekend series since 2011.

So, when it dawned gray and damp, I’m thinking this feels appropriate.
Especially after a glorious Oaks and Derby Day that was much needed, for reasons I don’t need to explain.
After throwing myself into the Derbytime fray for decades, I’ve stepped back in recent times. Actually I’m usually in New Orleans, but my the JazzFest is currently set for October.
If they build it, I will come.
Even though I don’t go to the track, and party like it’s 1999, like I did in 1999, I love the energy, excitement, sense of community spirit those two minutes of racing bring to our burg. Other than, you know, almost getting knocked down walking into the grocery by a woman wearing a hat the size of a beach umbrella.
Dead Favours Winter Tour Event
Dead Favours released their chart-topping debut single Dig in 2016, and now they re back and celebrating the release of their second album Rif ing & Yelling with a nationwide tour!
Produced by Six60’s Chris Mac, Rif ing & Yelling will be released in a two-part series with the first part ‘side a’ coming out Friday 21 May, and ‘side b’ later this year.
The tour will bring tunes from ‘side a’ including their new single Move On, alongside notable favourites from their first album Misbehaviour. Frontman Jared Wrennall states, “This album was written whilst going through a break-up. Though it’s kind of personal, it’s also on a level that many people will be able to relate to. It’s dark but it’s light, it’s sad but it’s happy. It’s an album I never thought I’d write, but I’m glad I did.”

Singer Matiu Walters grinned as he gazed out over 50,000 damp but delirious fans and said those magic words: “So, what’s up Eden Park?”
While much of the world remains hunkered down, the band Six60 has been playing to huge crowds in New Zealand, where social distancing isn’t required after the nation stamped out the coronavirus. The band’s tour finale on Saturday night was billed as the largest concert in the world since the pandemic began.
Equally momentous for a band which met while playing rugby at university was getting to play the first concert ever held at the storied Eden Park rugby stadium. And finding themselves at the apex of world music came as a twist for Six60, which has enjoyed unparalleled success in New Zealand but whose forays abroad have ended without the breakthroughs
