The daughters of a man cared for by Prospect Hospice are urging people to support the charity’s summer raffle. Chris Marlow received care at the Wroughton hospice and at his home in West Swindon. The 63-year-old died on March 13 at home, surrounded by family. He helped support the 2020 raffle by writing a letter to the charity’s supporters so his daughters Sam and Zoe want to carry on his legacy by endorsing this year’s event. The raffle continues the hospice’s Thanks a Million campaign which aims to raise £1 million to cover the funding gap left as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Happy Birthday. There s just too much at stake! However, not everyone in Shreveport-Bossier agrees with my logic. My buddy Stephen Parr says, if he s getting $1,000,000 for singing a song, he wants to earn it. That s why he would sing R.E.M. s

How do you solve a problem like. the gender pay gap?
Melissa Robertson, chief executive officer, Dark Horses
Let’s start with the law. You can’t just ring up a headhunter and specify that you want a woman for a role. That’s been illegal since 1975. And here lies a potentially legal conundrum because I don’t think the 2010 Equalities Act is entirely cut and dry. In terms of corporate reputation, there will be an imperative to improve on gender pay gaps. And the Labour party has talked about imposing fines and sanctions on companies that show no improvement in their statistics.
