After leading Syracuse football to a 1-10 record in 2020 one of its worst seasons in the past 70 years Dino Babers appeared at the Atlantic Coast Conference’s annual media day in Charlotte, North Carolina on Thursday. Returning defensive lineman Josh Black, wide receiver Taj Harris and offensive lineman Airon Servais all joined Babers on the trip south.

As expected, the NCAA will be passing a one-time transfer rule for all sports. This rule will finally bring all sports under one rule and eliminate the need for waivers and the unpredictable nature in which those were handled. Syracuse Orange fans nod their heads at Chris Bleich’s case last season.
This means that every athlete who has transferred or will transfer by July 1st will be eligible to compete in the 2021-22 academic year.
The one-time transfer rule for athletes in all sports has been approved by the NCAA s Division Council, source tells @TheAthletic. Athletes in all sports will be able to transfer once and be immediately eligible.

San Diego State offensive line coach Mike Schmidt is expected to join Syracuse’s coaching staff as the Orange’s new O-Line coach, according to a report from Pete Thamel of Yahoo! Sports. Schmidt has spent the last eight years as the O-Line coach at SDSU. He will replace Mike Cavanaugh, who left for Arizona State in January.
Schmidt has been involved with the Aztecs on and off the field since 2005. He played both offensive and defensive line at SDSU from 2005-2008 before becoming a volunteer and, later, a graduate assistant with the program. During his time as O-Line coach, three Aztecs have been selected in the NFL Draft, including Keith Ismael in the fifth round of the 2020 draft. Linemen Kyle Spalding (first team) and Zachary T
