FATHER Christmas has taken some time out of his busy schedule to pay an early visit to Tenby this afternoon. Fortunately, the festive gentleman is in a bubble with town mayor Cllr Sam Skyrme-Blackhall, so they were able to sit side by side on his sleigh for a tour of the town. Santa decided to do his Tenby tour after the disappointment of the cancellation of the town s Christmas lights switch-on due to coronavirus, He and mayor Sam made a 4pm start in Tudor Square to drive around as many streets and estates as possible for children to give him a wave - with social distancing emphasised throughout.

After the disappointment of the cancellation of the town s Christmas lights switch-on due to coronavirus, Santa has decided to drive around the town to see the children instead. Joined by the Mayor of Tenby, Cllr. Sam Skyrme-Blackhall, Father Christmas will be driving around as many streets and estates as possible on Saturday evening for children to give him a wave.

Rio Tinto has promoted its chief financial officer Jakob Stausholm to be its next chief executive, resisting pressure to appoint an Australian citizen as part of efforts to boost its engagement with the nation that provides the majority of its earnings.

A Danish citizen who stands almost two metres tall, Mr Stausholm said regaining the trust of traditional owners in Australia’s iron ore heartland would be one of his “key priorities” when he officially replaces Jean-Sebastien Jacques on January 1.

AustralianSuper chief executive Ian Silk says he has no plans to retire and is readying the fund for a world where it is a $300 billion behemoth which invests a greater slice of its assets offshore and gobbles up more public companies.
Australia s largest superannuation fund, AustralianSuper this week became the country s first nest-egg manager to surpass $200 billion in assets after 410,000 workers joined the retirement savings vehicle this year.
