Cranford s Memorial Day Parade will celebrate 100 years when it kicks off Monday morning. (Shutterstock)
CRANFORD, NJ Cranford s Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony will kick off Monday morning, and all are invited, said Mayor Kathleen Miller Prunty in an email this week.
The parade, which will begin at 9 a.m., celebrates a special anniversary this year. This year, we mark the 100th Anniversary of the first Memorial Day parade in Cranford that started at the corner of Springfield and N. Union Avenues where Memorial Park was located (now 911 Park), Prunty said.

The lineup begins at the Community Center (220 Walnut Ave.) at 8:30 a.m., and marching commences at 9 a.m., said an announcement.

In the new graphic novel “Cyclopedia Exotica,” immigrants with one eye coexist uneasily with their two-eyed neighbors.
Members of the cyclops community are targeted by curious online daters and porn addicts, as well as cosmetic surgeons eager to give them that desirable two-eyed look. They contend with xenophobes protesting mixed marriages, hateful comments from subway Karens and, in some cases, physical violence.

The official main cast members posted the news along with screenshots of the original cartoon characters on Instagram to celebrate their casting.

Marvel s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, will play Blossom. Cameron, who is known for her role on Disney s Liv & Maddie, will be playing Bubbles. Buttercup will be played by Perrault, who starred on
Jagged Little Pill on Broadway.
Based on the Cartoon Network television series created by Craig McCracken, John McIntyre, and Chris Savino, the series will feature the beloved crime-fighting characters – Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup – who have grown up into disillusioned twenty-somethings who resent having lost their childhood to crime fighting.
