Clarkson woman has DUI wreck with 9 dogs in vehicle December 21, 2020
An intoxicated Clarkson woman has been arrested after having a DUI wreck with nine dogs in the car.
Sunday evening at approximately 6:00, Grayson County Deputy Andy Vincent and Sgt. Fred Norder, the East Grayson Fire Department and EMS responded to the 100 block of St. Paul Road, in Big Clifty, on the report of a single-vehicle accident.
Upon arriving at the scene, Vincent found that a 2001 Suzuki XL-7 Grand Vitara, being driven by 67-year-old Patricia A. Heim-Wood, was eastbound on St. Paul Road when it crossed into the westbound lane and “left the left shoulder of the roadway” as it approached a railroad crossing, according to the arrest citation. The vehicle then struck one set of tracks before coming to rest between the two sets of railroad tracks.
