Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Hallelujah was the word used to describe the return of large cruise ships to town by Juneau Chamber of Commerce President Eric Forst, who is also a downtown business person while a guest on Action Line.
He said it was a great day. He said everyone was being cautious and using hand sanitizer and wearing masks, but people were still enjoying themselves and enjoying the town.
The Glory Hall moved to its new Valley location the day before. Forst was asked if they noticed a difference as a result. I can tell you that it made a significant difference Absolutely. It made a significant difference in the amount of homeless on the street downtown.

Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - The Juneau Chamber of Commerce is doing all it can to save the endangered cruise ship season.
Chamber officials were guests on Action Line Monday including Executive Director Craig Dahl. We re trying to stay in touch with all of the different organizations that are working on this and I think it s safe to say that anyone involved in the industry, whether you re on the business side or on the cruise side itself, is doing everything they can to move the ball forward on this. I think it s a little bit frustrating actually at this point. We re watching a lot of communication and waiting to see some kind of movement on the congressional side.
