GREECE, N.Y. Greece police have identified the woman
found dead in her home on West Parkway Tuesday, and ruled her death as a homicide.
Officers tell
Spectrum News Ottilia Piros, 36, was found inside her kitchen with a gunshot wound to the head.
They believe she was killed sometime on Monday, and was found when a family member called 911 for a welfare check.
Police say this does not appear to be a random act and believe the public is safe.

Greece Town Officials say Drew Forsythe will be the town s new police chief, replacing Chief Patrick Phelan, who retires at the end of the year.
Phelan has been chief since March of 2014.
Drew Forsythe is currently the Greece Police Deputy Chief of Operations and Special Services. Prior to joining Greece Police, he spent 36 years with the Monroe County Sheriff s Office, leaving in 2017 as undersheriff. He ll take office in January.
