County Executive Adam Bello and Public Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza issued a joint statement Monday saying that shots would be available for the youngsters at all county-operated vaccination sites once a federal vaccine advisory committee issues recommendations for using the two-dose vaccine in children. That recommendation is expected to be released before the end of the week.

GREECE, N.Y. (WHEC) Students at Greece Olympia High School had a chance to socialize safely with their peers and get a look at the school s newly renovated auditorium Wednesday. They ve lost so much, Principal Marc Fleming said. It s been 11 months since some of them had seen one another, they lost out on their prom last year, homecoming this fall. So we wanted an opportunity to bring the students together to give them a chance to just be kids, be social, enjoy being seniors, enjoy their school building, and enjoy being together. You are so used to walking to classes with them, and like being in the same atmosphere to, um, not even really seeing them, senior Giana Dimora said. I m glad I came. Found out last minute, but, I really enjoyed it.
