India’s L&L Partners has hired Abhishek Kumar (L) and Vasudev Dibbur as the firm’s newest partners. They join the Bengaluru and Delhi offices, respectively.
L&L Partners has seen a number of departures during the year-long public feud between the firm’s managing partner Rajiv Luthra and former equity partner Mohit Saraf.
This is Dibbur’s second stint with the firm, his first being an 11-year-long one that ended last year.. He specialises in cross-border M&A, joint ventures, private equity and venture capital fund investments.

Voot Select has had some decent fare in the last one year plus. It adds “13 Mussoorie” to this list: a crime thriller and a serial killer murder mystery that is compelling in parts, more than decent in the way it plays out, but short of a classic, which it could easily have been. But perhaps the biggest mystery about it is that when I went on IMDb.com to check on its cast, I found that the show was to premiere Oct. 2018! Intrigued, I went on Google and even saw a single review dated that year! Wonder then, why it was finally streamed only a few weeks ago!

Ayodhya: In an unprecedented show of brotherhood that reaffirms the syncretic soul of Ayodhya, a Muslim cleric who is part of a lone Muslim family in Hindu-dominated Rajanpur village in Ayodhya district won the
gram pradhan election with a thumping margin, defeating six other candidates in the fray â all from the majority Hindu community.
Hafiz Azeemuddin, who considers the panchayat poll victory as his Eid gift, attributes his success to his Hindu brethren, who reposed faith in his leadership. This win, however small it may be, once again buried the concept of majority-minority vote-bank politics in what may be considered the symbolic epicentre of Hindutva Ayodhya.
India’s L&L Partners has hired Amrita Tonk, Sidhartha Barua, and Girish Rawat as partners in Delhi.
Joining the litigation practice is Tonk, who had worked with L&L as an associate in 2010. She served as a Metropolitan Magistrate in Delhi between 2013 and 2018, during which time she presided over 26,000 summary and summons triable matters.
Also joining the litigation practice is Barua, who has represented clients before the Supreme Court of India. He was a partner at both AZB & Partners and Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas before establishing his own practice in 2017.
Banking and finance specialist Rawat, who has more than a decade of experience, joins from Dhir & Dhir Associates.
