Wallie s has gone through a transformation while keeping its historical roots and foundation, literally. Wallie s had been a staple in the Greenwich community since 1929 when it was just a sandwich shop. Then when it was a restaurant it became to place to celebrate special occasions. When the economy took a negative turn, the restaurant closed and had been shuttered for over twenty years according to The Post Star. The building began to decline. For two years the new owners spend time, effort, and money making it into a beautiful new restaurant with historic appeal.
