King s Lynn man donates four-figure sum to buy school some new ipads  | Updated: 09:31, 11 February 2021 A kind-hearted businessman has bought six new ipads for a West Norfolk school to help children with their school work during and after lockdown. Michael Heaphy, from Gaywood, generously donated £1000 to buy the ipads at Greenpark Academy in North Lynn to ensure youngsters have the right equipment to do their work. Mr Heaphy, who runs Heaphy Aggregates and Light Haulage, said: I wanted to give a little something back to the community and it s the children who are the future. Officials eye January opening for new King s Lynn school Published: 08:00, 11 December 2020 A new primary school, built close to hundreds of new homes in North Lynn and Gaywood, could open to pupils for the first time next month. Building work on the £8.5 million Greenpark Academy is now nearing completion, following a two month suspension earlier this year during the first coronavirus lockdown. And members of Norfolk County Council’s ruling cabinet this week approved plans to transfer the site to a schools trust, with the primary it is replacing coming into the authority’s hands.
