While this year’s Brunswick Music Festival will be shorter than usual, spanning ten days rather than its usual two-week run, it certainly hasn’t skimped on its offerings.

After last year’s BMF was sadly cut short due to COVID-19, news that the 3056 mainstay would be back in 2021 was met by punters with open arms. Now, the program for this year’s festival has arrived at last and it is a knock-out.
Situated in the heart of the Southbank Arts Precinct, Melbourne Recital Centre’s brand-new Forecourt on Southbank Boulevard is set to become an unrivalled place to relax with friends over a drink or a bite to eat while enjoying great music beneath the stars. With a backdrop of native trees, visitors can soak up the last of the day’s rays and linger long into the night with signature cocktails and an Asian-fusion menu from Blondie Bar, while listening to a dream line-up of performers curated by Crown Ruler.
Every Thursday and Saturday night, from 7 January 2021 to the end of March, Crown Ruler will transform the unique open-air space with an unmissable program celebrating the city’s rich artistic pedigree and community spirit. Representing Melbourne’s diverse cultural tapestry, a wide spread of Melbourne’s most respected DJs will have music-lovers mesmerised with their eclectic and genre-bending sets.

Melbourne Recital Centre has joined forces with Crown Ruler to bring three months of live music to Southbank. Titled Sweet Summer Suite, the series will showcase some of Melbourne’s freshest and finest DJs with weekly sets in Melbourne Recital Centre’s brand new Forecourt.
Launched on Thursday January 14, the series will run until Saturday March 27, featuring two shows every week on Thursdays and Saturdays.
